HISTORY

Serenade of the Seas is a member of the Radiance class of ships, belonging to the Royal Caribbean International fleet. The Serenade sails the Southern Caribbean during the winter and spring and cruises in Alaska during the summer.

Serenade of the Seas is a cruise ship that is owned and operated by Royal Caribbean International. She is registered in Nassau, Bahamas, and is a gas-turbine vessel, the first built for Royal Caribbean. This system produces higher efficient speeds than other cruise ships, and emissions to the air are much lower than cruise ships powered by diesel engines. Serenade of the Seas is the flagship of the Radiance class, which includes Jewel of the Seas, Brilliance of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas.

Serenade of the Seas Cruise Liner :

The Serenade of the Seas is one of the newest ships of the royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. The ship embarked on its maiden voyage in the year 2003. The ship is 962 feet long and can accommodate 2, 501 passengers. The ship travels at an alarming speed of 25 knots. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The different types of cabins available are the Deluxe Suites, The Balcony Rooms, The Ovceanview Rooms and the Interior Staterooms. The ship has a beautiful indoor Solarium and Volleyball Court . The lounges are pretty grand and lavish.

Serenade of the Seas Cruise Amenities:

The ship is wheelchair accessible. The rooms have hair dryers and private bathrooms with showers. The beds are huge and seating arrangements highly comfortable. The ship has conference and meeting rooms. These rooms are fitted with color touch screens, wireless remote controls and teleconferencing equipment. The dining options are excellent. The Chops Grille and the Latte-tudes offer different types of food. The specialty is Seattle's Best Coffee. There are a number of Theme Bars and lounges also.

Serenade of the Seas Cruise Activities:

There are a number of activities to choose from. You can read books in the library or play in the Casino. One can also play pool in The Country Club , which has a pool table. The adventuresome can try the Rock Climbing Wall. You can participate in a number of pool games on the deck. The children can enjoy in the children's playroom where they can watch movies or play video games. Workshops and enrichment lectures are also conducted on board.

Serenade of the Seas Cruise Voyages:

The Serenade of the Seas takes you for a vacation to Hawaii, Alaska, Caribbean, Panama Canal, Mexico and the Pacific Northwest. Some of the major ports-of-call are Honolulu, Acapulco, Calgary, Bridgetown, Ensenada, Ketchikan, Seattle, Phillipsburg and others. You can go for sight seeing in these places or check out the amazing wildlife. Baja Mexico is an important itinerary in these cruises. You can go snorkeling and check out the beautiful coral reefs on the coast of Cabo San Lucas .
